We can all be proud of the money raised for SIDS foundation, even with fewer entries than last year; we managed to better last year’s effort.
The wind held up the show early Sunday morning; however, it dropped by mid morning giving us time to change the course to suit the conditions and start racing. We had a great field of 29 boats with full support from the 1.6 Hydro guys. It was also good to see Thunderstruck and Evil turn up for play.
The inaugural Archer Eade Memorial Cup was run and won. With a field of three tunnel boats and three mono’s it turned out to be a great race, with plenty of action. Congratulations to Dave Meades Driving Meadeator 2 for being first to get his hands on the trophy. 2nd Richie Hannan in Straightpoint and 3rd Richard Meades in LS Marine.
The support races also provided plenty of close racing, at times a little too close with Timmy and Wes’ boats coming together. Glad to see both drivers were fine and boats will be ready for Paynesville.
As usual Lake Charm proved to be a great place to race and a terrific environment for the family and social part of the weekend.
Very special thank you to Paul and Sue Eade and the Budlight for their efforts.
Bring on Paynesville….
Go the Outboards!
